The Field Gallery kicks off the summer season with our first Artists' Premiere on Saturday, July 1st from 4-6pm.

Art Premiere will be held on Saturday from 4-6 pm at the Field Gallery in West Tisbury, next to the West Tisbury Free Public Library. It is free and open to the public.

Rachael Cassiani- Island born painter, Rachael Cassiani showcases her newest cubist style paintings. In this season’s collection Rachael's main focus was to explore landscapes with calmer palettes. A shift from her typical bright summer’s day to the colors that appear in the wintertime or beneath a cloudy sky. Rachael hopes for the viewer to find the calm beauty that exists within a grey winter landscape, the subtle change in earthy tones on the cliff sides under overcast skies, and the softer side of a sunset. 

Jhenn Watts- Island Photographer Jhenn Watts will show her newest works taken with her antique large format box camera. In capturing the bygone relics of Martha's Vineyards past, Jhenn features views of the Island that honor the abundent natural beauty while preserving the heritage of its residents. Each image feels carefully crafted with the manual nature of the raw film feeling labored and thoughtful. 

Kenneth Pillsworth- Jeweler Kenneth Pillsworth is a true Island artisan in his craft, utilizing both traditional precious gemstones and subversive alternative materials. There is both a naturalistic and contemporary focus in Kenneth's work, with designs that range from flame painted titanium sunsets to industrial abstract pendants. This season Kenneth's work jumps from the wearable to the hangable, with his flame painted scenes making their way into a larger format akin to that of a painters landscape. Crafted with care, attention, and innovation Kenneth continues to highlight his talent for creating beauty.
